In the year of our Lord Feb 7, 800. Days just seem to grind on. It is now winter and some snow has fallen. Though my days are difficult, I am thankful for the protection our great King provides me. I work hard to do my best on my manor because I know that the Lord will reward me in Heaven. Below I will share with you the details of my daily life. I wake at dawn, first thing everybody does is pray. After breakfast, I would go out to the open field in Mespelbrunn and practice combat. During the evening, I'm joined by Prince Peter to go hunting. after supper are Evening Events. Acrobats, jugglers, dancers etc. all preform. Living on my manor we have peasants who work on the farm or work as a blacksmith or a dentist. There is a priest who lives in the church nearby. What is my role? I defend the manor against enemies, I help his majesty win wars. Most of the day, I either hunt or train. It's an easy life. There is something that makes a manor special, interdependency. For example, without the blacksmith, I wouldn't have the protection I need in battle. Without the peasants, I would not have food. Without me, the people will easily be conquered by invaders. Without the priest and Christianity, none of us would have hope. There is no backbone, We all depend on each other. My son is off as a page already, they grow up so fast... back to the point. My brother is training him up. Every once and a while, we'll have a tournament of all sorts of skills in combat. Theres jousting, sword fighting, and all sorts of other fun. Falconry, for those that are confused, is a form of hunting using a trained bird of prey, typically a falcon. I been many places, I remember following his majesty the king to England to form an Alliance with them. All the sights to see, all the things to do! Turns out other than language, there's nothing different from us. | |
